What is Apostrophe Puzzles?
Apostrophe Puzzles is a Brooklyn based jigsaw company creating a space in the puzzle industry that actively champions the work of contemporary artists of color. We are Black-owned, woman-led, and working to contribute to a culture of art consumerism that is accessible and sustainable for all. You can learn more about us here.
How is Apostrophe Puzzles different than other puzzle companies?
There are so many wonderful companies out there, and we are so glad to be making beautiful puzzles alongside them. Our products stand out due to their exclusive focus on the work of contemporary artists of color, as well as our partnerships with non-profit organizations focused on arts accessibility and education in communities of color.
Are your puzzles only for people of color?
Of course not! Our puzzles are for anyone seeking new and compelling puzzle designs and a bit of a challenge. Our focus, though, is on amplifying, highlighting, and valuing the work of contemporary artists of color, and encouraging others to learn more about and engage with their work.
Are your puzzles eco-friendly?
Yes! Our puzzles and our packaging are responsibly made and environmentally sustainable, consisting of 100% recycled chipboard, eco-friendly, non-toxic ink, and recyclable plastic wrapping.

We’d love to hear from you! We are usually available Monday thru Friday, 9am-5pm EST. We have a pretty small team, but every effort will be made to respond to you ASAP. Please allow up to 48 hours for us to get back to you.

Orders + Billing
When will my order ship?
Once your order is placed and you have received confirmation of your purchase, we will do our best to make sure it is shipped within 2-3 days. Orders received on weekends and holidays will be shipped within the following three business days. Due to delays caused by COVID-19, please allow for extended shipping times.
How can I check the status of my order?
Once your order ships you will receive a tracking notification that will allow you to follow the progress of your shipment. Please note that these tracking updates are made available by your shipping provider, and not by Apostrophe Puzzles. As a reminder, tracking numbers will be available within 2-3 days of your order being fully processed.
What do I do if I have a problem with my order, or need to change or cancel it?
Please contact us at support@apostrophepuzzles.com as soon as possible if you need to make changes to your order and we'll do our best to sort it out. Please note that we are unable to alter or change an order once a shipping label has been created.
When will I be charged?
You will be charged as soon as your order is accepted and processed.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We currently accept all major credit/debit cards, as well as Apple Pay.
What can I do if my payment is declined?
Doublecheck that your card’s billing information (such as your security code and billing address) match what you’ve entered. You can also make sure your card hasn’t expired (those dates can pop up quick!) It is possible that your card issuer has declined your payment, so it may be best to check with them.

The puzzle I want is sold out. What do I do?
We're sorry for the inconvenience! Send us a note at info@apostrophepuzzles.com and we’ll be in touch as soon as it’s back in stock. Also, make sure you subscribe to our email list and we'll be sure to announce when items have returned.
My puzzle has a missing piece! Can you help?
Our. Worst. Nightmare! Please accept our apologies. We do our best to make sure our manufacturing process goes off without a hitch, but mistakes can happen from time to time. We know it's extremely frustrating to finish a puzzle and not be able to see the whole image in its entirety. If you are missing a piece due to a manufacturing error, email us at support@apostrophepuzzles.com and we'll do our best to help you out.
Who are your featured artists?
We love them so much! All of our puzzles feature work by contemporary artists of color, and at least 10% of each puzzle purchase goes directly back to them. Every product page has links to learn more about each artist and their work. We highly recommend checking them out - they're pretty amazing (you can also do that here). If you'd like more information on our artists or want to let us know about an artist you love, please email us at info@apostrophepuzzles.com.
